I was really hoping that the new releases would have a light with an IR illuminator and an IR laser. With most Night Vision image intensifiers a bright light will trigger the device to immediately turn off to protect itself. If you are wearing the NV device you will be blind. It really is not possible to use the white light and the IR laser together. When there is a laser it is critical that the light clamps tightly on the rail vs just a light where it is not so critical. I recently purchased this but will only use the IR laser part of it most likely.

This is a great light but I'm looking for any recommendations for a Safariland ALS duty holster for a Glock 17

Make at least one light in your offerings a TOTAL IR Package (Light and Laser) and I think you will have a "real world use winner"! BTW, I own this product.

I'm going to make this brief... I own this Baldr IR Tactical Light - It's visible H/L/Strobe white light is more than adequate for most close to mid-range situations. The stand alone IR laser on the other hand is of limited use being it's reduced in power to eye-safe levels with not much illumination of the surrounding area by itself. This unit would really benefit from a dual switch IR Illuminator/laser combo and an IR Illuminator only function. At the very least an IR Illuminator/Laser single function combo would be a great improvement. Separate White lights can be mounted or handheld depending on your rifle/pistol application.

Now I know that it is listed as a IR LIGHT and when you start to read you get excited because BOOM it has a IR LASER too. But what everyone has to understand that is new to nightvision is there are different classes of lights and lasers! Yes the better lights and lasers will take just AA or AAA but when you are at this price point you need to do your research on visible light spectrums and the same goes with lasers. Generally speaking anything above 150 you will see especially with a cheaper light and anything above. .4 you will be seeing in the lasers! So this is more of a get to know your gear before you drop a used truck money on your rig!!!✋️🤙 if you don't want to spend the cash and do the research, get a LEW light that will through a tube straight down your target area and add a laser if you so wish 🤞 😉

In response to the comment "I think this is a great first outing into IR lights. If I had one suggestion though, it would be that it would be far more useful if it were an IR light (illuminator) plus IR beam. I have noticed that this is the only IR product Olight has produced and it seems like a great market for illuminators that Olight could dominate as well as it has for visible light products." This is not the first Olight IR product. This is a process with Olight. We are walking down this road together. The clamp or screw debate is in progress, I think that they are trying to find a way to bridge that gap. I have found them to be very customer oriented and want to be a success in the American market. Give them SPECIFIC details on what you want, they are listening.

truly disappointed, this light laser combo has a lot of potential. the laser won't hold a zero. the light is decent, the laser is decent, battery life is decent. The laser will not stay zeroed, even worse after contacting the warranty dept they refused to fix or replace the laser. If everything worked, it would be a decent set up and could set this company apart from the others. Sadly, it's just a money trap.
