All you need for EDCThis is really a great everyday carry. If I didn’t like my S1R2 so much, it’s probably all I’d carry. As it is, I keep it in my sweatpants pocket when I’m home at night. Last week I had to go out in the yard to get the dog. I was really surprised how well it lit up the yard for such a small light. Has a great all around beam and more power than lights many times bigger.

excellent lightThis light is small but very powerful. It is one of my go to EDC light. It also makes a great gift for someone new to Olights because it is easy to use and only runs off of a single AAA battery.

If you are a minimalist, this greatLove the red for a change. Great little light with AAA battery and plenty of light for an EDC. Glad it has no button cell batteries. While I think I slightly prefer the slightly larger i5EOS with 2 brightness levels (AA battery), this smaller light can be really be convenient. You hardly know it is there whether you just drop it in your pocket or clip it to the inside of your pocket. Of course if need be, that clip can be handy to fasten the light to the brim of a cap.

Awesome little lightI have the Red i3T EOS, I absolutely love this light but I wanted to get a longer run time out of it on high. I tried 3 different batteries, wow i was absolutely blown away by 1 of them.
A rechargeable lithium 1.5 volt and it would last anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 minutes. This was no good.
A regular Alkaline Duracell, they lasted between 20 minutes to 30 minutes.
And the winner by an amazing amout, the EBL rechargeable Nimh lowself discharge 1100 mAh AAA. This battery lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes on average with one going a full 2 hours. The light never got hot like it does with the lithium or the Alkaline. I highly recommend these EBL batteries!Posted on

Surprisingly brightGot the OD green as a free gift on my first purchase. Did not expect much from a single AAA light but it's amazing. Low is perfect around the house at night, high is great in the yard. Run time is short on high but understandable. Love this little flashlight.

OD Green and GMGThe I3T is one of the best EDC lights out. The I3T and the I5T are in my daily carry and they are super nice and well constructed. Cannot go wrong spending a little cash and getting one. Can't wait for more colors to come out so that I can buy more.

As handy as it getsFIts in the hand perfectly with nice grip. The simple two function tail switch works great, and the convenience of AAA batteries is awesome. OD green is a very nice touch. It's a must have.

Love this lightIt is a part of my edc. Small enough to not clog my pocket and bright enough to even be a deterrent. The ICR10440 rechargeable battery is a must have for it. Makes it many times brighter than a regular triple a.

Green means GO......And this little aaa powered gem does just that. Another must have, back-up light, EDC light, pocket light, center console light...the applications are endless.
I have one fail on me, but a quick email to Olight and a new one is on the way. Green is cool, but no matter the color, your mom, dad, niece, nephew, grandad, grammy, brother, sister, needs one or two.
AAA is good for the old folks that are rechargably challenged and still by ray-o-vacs.Posted on

Perfect for EDCI've carried this light for almost 2 years now every day. It quickly become my preferred daily carry due to it's compact size, adequate output, convenience and comfort. I don't like things in my pockets so I can wear this using the clip in the 11 o'clock position clipped iwb. Don't even feel it because it's so small.
I use a rechargeable lithium "AA" battery that charges using a phone usb charger directly into the battery so I can charge it from anywhere. Never without a good light!
This thing is awesome! Love it! I purchased one for each family member and we all love them.Posted on

Love OD GreenAnother great purchase I’m happy with. Love the dimmer option and then quickly can blast bright light. I’m definitely a customer for life. Keep up the great work

Button and battery are only things Id changeThe button has been getting pushed on the inside of my pocket, other than that my only other gripe is that it's a triple A battery instead of a rechargeable. Find a way to fix those and I'm completely satisfied. The free lights we got with the last flash sale are rechargeable, lets move that technology over.

A solid compact flashlight!Battery runtime (on a Panasonic Eneloop (which is THE best all-around rechargeable NiMh battery)) is between 21min to about 60min on HIGH depending on how it's used (although it's best manufacturer only claims 21 minutes since in many scenarios that will be true). if you use it occasionally for a few minutes here and there on HIGH you will get about 21 min before it's dead but if you have a fully charged Eneloop and immediately switch it on HIGH and leaving it running until it's dead you will get about 1 hour (NOTE: it only runs on 180 lumens for about 10min (with a Eneloop) before the light automatically starts dimming (it's not a Eneloop issue but the way the I3T is designed) but you can switch it back to full power by turning it off and back onto HIGH). I recommend using Eneloop's in this for maximum $ savings and best all-around use. but if money is not much of a issue one can use disposable Lithium batteries. I would avoid alkaline in general as they simply don't work as well on the HIGH setting as NiMh/disposable Lithium do and Alkaline can leak and potentially damage the flashlight. but alkaline can be good in a emergency situation where you need disposable batteries quick as they are available everywhere.
If there is one potential complaint I have, which I can easily see varying from person-to-person depending on their personal preference, is the brightness settings. because while it's solid enough all-around as it is, I would probably opt for less lumen output on HIGH to noticeably extend battery life and would only have minimal effect on it's all around effective use. for example... take a Olight I3E, which is is 90 lumens, it's real world brightness is not much lower (only about a 50 foot difference (but up close to a moderate distance it's not really noticeable, or not noticeable enough to effect it's use)) than this I3T but gives about 50-55 minutes of runtime on a Eneloop where as this I3T drops to 21 minutes (depending on how it's used although one can potentially get similar to I3E runtime). so while the light output on the I3T is twice the lumens (i.e. 180 vs 90) it's real world light output is only about a 50 foot outer limit difference but up close to a moderate distance they are similar enough so I can easily see why many would rather have the extended runtime. but at the same time I feel while the I3T sacrifices the battery runtime for a bit more brightness on HIGH, it does help compensate with the LOW setting (5 lumens) which is easily enough to see where your going in the dark or see things decently up close. but if you really need to see something really lit up, HIGH mode is required.
another thing that I think will vary from person-to-person is some might prefer to have three different modes like LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH to help squeeze out more battery runtime but at the same time I think for many simpler is better which is why the two modes are better in a way and one reason I think many will like the Olight I3E, especially for a keychain, as it's a simple twist ON, twist OFF. NOTE: I had a Olight I3E for 2-3 years, and while I was not disappointed with it, I ended up losing it earlier this month as it fell out of my pocket which is another bonus with the I3T as with it's pocket clip I suspect I won't lose this one, which is another reason why I got the I3T and I tend to like the click on type of light a bit more than the twist type.
but that's one area I really like AAA/AA powered flashlights is battery quality as I would avoid anything that does not run on standard AAA/AA sized batteries due to a lack of reliability where as with Eneloops those are reliable and should be around for many years to come unlike with rechargeable lithium batteries where quality can be suspect and after some time passes it could be difficult to find replacement batteries which is why I strongly suggest most people stick to flashlights that only run on AAA or AA batteries and they are easily bright enough for most people to.
so at the end of the day... many will like this I3T flashlight although I can see some preferring to tweak things with brightness levels or possibly 3 modes instead of 2 etc.
Olight I3T = 4.5 out of 5 star.
p.s. I would like to see a Olight make a single AA version of this I3T as this way one could basically get similar level of brightness but with much longer runtime, or lower light output to around 100 lumens and get hours of use out of it as I feel for many up close tasks anything around 90 lumens is easily good enough.Posted on
-
Olight I3T Dang thats bright! But the pocket clip...Wow, this is one bright light, good feel and nice positive button. It is an awesome EDC, it is a light from the future. When you turn on 180 lumens from this small light, it feels like a mini light saber. One complaint though, the pocket clip broke. Maybe use softer spring metal, let it bend a little more.

Don’t leave home without it.This is a great compact light ! I love the fact that it uses a very commonly found AAA battery. It’s dual output is ideal for any situation. Although it’s one of my backup EDC lights , I never leave home without out it, or any room actually! As long as this light continues to be of great quality, I will most definitely be purchasing many more.

Surprisingly small....Suprisingly BrightWhen I got this Olight I was a bit disappointed to be honest. It was in a small box. Upon opening the box I was greeted with a superb looking little light. It actually fits in my hand and is hidden when I close my hand. Running on a single AAA battery and having two levels of light output is actually nice. With a simple tactile click you are greeted with a soft yet bright enough night light for stealth maneuvers around the house at late nights. Another click and you are greeted with a bright light that will surely blind any home invaders! This little light is a shining example of good things come in small packages. I also enjoy the two way clip that comes with the light. I can wear it on my hat and have two free hands and also put it in my packet or on my belt and it’s secure as secure can get. I highly recommend you get this little light, a great addition to the everyday carry.

Nice compact lightI purchased this light several months ago and fell in love with it right away. I like it's compact design, convenient belt clip, and relative brightness considering the power source. The belt clip is placed very well to allow it to be mostly hidden in a pocket and the switch is just right - not too stiff, nor too soft. I like the fact the light always starts with the moonlight phase (after a 4 second pause). This allows you to always know what level it will be when you turn it on. I love how it fits perfectly in my hand and makes it comfortable to carry.
The only complaint I have is the lack of a strobe and a medium setting (50 lumens or so?). I have tested similar lights (size and power source) that were slightly shorter and featured a strobe function. With a strobe this light would be the ideal pocket sized light.Posted on

Great LightThis is an extremely great light as far as single AAA battery lights go. I have abused this light and it still work great. I on three of these lights. I did have trouble with one light right out of the box but Olight's customer service handled the issue right away. Their customer service was some of the best I've ever hand to deal with. People I work with own various models from Olight and are pleased with all their lights.

Great for EDCMy EDC is a Raider M1T, but when I want something a bit slimmer for different occasions/pants the I3T is perfect. If I didn't have the M1T I would carry the I3T every day without hesitation. It has the perfect amount of light for most common applications, and enough for tactical applications when needed.

Excellent, uncomplicated edc light. This light remains a perfect choice for reliability and practicality. Its small, light, has a great clip and interface, is reasonably waterproof & pretty tough, AAA accessible and uncomplicated. I feel like for the $20 price point you get an entry level quality standard that will keep performing.

This one stays in my Get-Home Bag!I have 9 Olights. Each has a purpose, but the I3T EOS stays in my Get-Home bag. I leave the AAA battery out of it until needed to prevent corrosion during storage in my car. Every couple months I toss the battery and drop a brand new one to the bag to make sure I always have one if I need it. The best part about this flashlight is that it is small, lightweight, and takes the most common type of battery available.

Perfect companion for my Leatherman sheathThis is a high quality light that fits perfectly in a Leatherman tool sheath.
If you have a Charger or similar model tool and the leather sheath that has the stretch material side for carrying extra bits, you can open the doubled up material side and this light slips right in perfectly with the clip slid over the material.
It's secure, easy to get to if needed and the push button switch is partially protected by the leather flap making it less likely to accidentally turn on.
If you own a Leatherman, I highly recommend getting one of these.Posted on

Great quality and value.I bought this light when they were giving away the I3E EOS Desert Tan. This is the perfect fishing light. I clip to the bill of my hat and it's two settings are perfect. 5 lumens is perfect to bait a hook or change a lure and the 180 is perfect to light up the surrounding area to check fishing poles or what ever you might need. Fishing I don't need a really bright light. It's also going to be handy in those early mornings getting to the deer stand without lighting up the entire woods! It is a ruggedly built light. It does go through batteries fairly quick at 180 so use a good dependable battery.

Almost perfect EDC lightI bought the i3T thinking it might be useful for something. Little did I know, it's finding it's way into my pocket on a daily basis! It really surprised me! Super useful with the right amount of light for many of the tasks I encounter every day. The size is perfect, not too small not too big. And very light, I almost forget I'm carrying it sometimes. 5 lumens works great for most tasks, but when I need more the 180 lumens is plenty without being too bright for EDC tasks. Build quality is excellent and Olight has definitely earned a place in my EDC carry rotation!

Love it.I have the limited edition copper version of this light. It’s unique and very well made and durable. I’ve dropped it numerous times and it’s gotten wet and still works great. I really like the 5 lumen moonlight setting for moving around the bedroom at night and not disturbing my fiancé! The clip is strong and this little light is really easy to carry around clipped inside my pocket. I forget it’s there. Great EDC, always there, never annoying. Great job again Olight.

Good EDC and Inspection LightPros:
Let's look at the benefits of this flashlight design. First and foremost I love this type of clip, I always want at least a reversible pocket clip but these clips that face both ways are the best in my opinion. I also love how simple this light is, there are two modes, Firefly, and high which means that you don't have to clip through a bunch of options just to get to your desired intensity. Olight did a really solid job on the tail switch. While I am mostly accustomed to tail switches it did take me a bit to get used to it again after testing out another light for a while. Let me cut to the chase, the switch is incredibly sturdy on the I3T EOS, there is a good solid click when you press it and it only goes up and down. I don't have to worry about whether or not it is going to break off on the side. In addition, the tail switch features a momentary on/off that took a second to get used to but I like the option. I am also a huge fan of flashlights using a common battery like a AA or AAA so the fact that this light uses a AAA is perfect.
Cons:
I really only have one small issue to point out, and that is the texturing of the body. It feels slightly uncomfortable in my hand but is not too big of a problem for me not enjoy using it.
Conclusion:
To put it simply, this really is a great buy, especially if you can get it on sale. The I3T EOS fits great inside your pocket due to how thin it is but has enough size to feel comfortable in your hand. This also makes it very manageable if you go to place it on the brim of your hat. I will definitely be carrying this frequently when I am not testing other lights.Posted on

Very bright light to be just a single aaa. And has decent throw. I like how the threads on the tail cap are gold plated for better connection. Nice little backup light.
