I bought this weapon light for my duty weapon (police) and I ended up removing it and may end up selling or putting on a weapon that is less critical to defense. I think the build, the controls and the fit/finish are great. The settings however I do not like enough to take this light off my duty gun. When you turn this weapon light on it starts at 200 lumens and must be double clicked to get the full output of 1300 lumens. It has no long-term memory; it will go back to 1300 lumens for a little while but it will not have a memory to stay at the brightest setting if that was the last setting used. For me in a critical situation I would much rather the brightest setting to be first, not the lowest. One of the first things to go under stress is fine motor skills so drawing a weapon under duress if you can get your light on, it is unlikely you will be thinking about changing settings. Memory or brightest first would make this light much better and I would carry it if this was how it worked
